ICE-TEA 2022

The Eighth International Conference on Economics
September 1-4, 2022

Cappadocia University, Nevşehir, Turkey

Turkish Economic Association (TEA), a non-governmental, non-profit organization, is active, especially on issues related to the Turkish Economy with its 93 years of history. TEA, a member of the International Economics Association (IEA), regularly organizes International Congresses on Economics (ICE-TEA), which brings together the economists of our country and the world biennially.

The 8th International Conference on Economics (ICE-TEA2022) will be held on September 1-4, 2022 at Mustafapaşa Campus of Cappadocia University in Cappadocia, Turkey. Cappadocia is an ancient district in the east-central Anatolia, situated on the rugged plateau north of the Taurus Mountains. Cappadocia's landscape includes dramatic expanses of soft volcanic rock, shaped by erosion into towers, cones, valleys, and caves. Rock-cut churches and underground tunnel complexes from the Byzantine and Islamic eras are scattered throughout the countryside. It is also famous for its fairytale scenery, cave dwellings, remarkable rock formations, and the hundreds of hot air balloons that soar in the sky during sunrise each morning.

ICE-TEA is considered one of Turkey's most important meetings of its kind. At our past congresses, economists from universities, research institutions, and policymakers from around the world gathered to discuss their research and address the tremendous economic and political challenges of our time. At ICE-TEA 2022, we look forward to lively discussions and productive interaction with new ideas.

Environmental sustainability, gender, race, income inequalities, transformations and problems brought about by rapid digitalization, global economic crises, the rise of authoritarian populism, and additional problems created by globalization are on our agenda. We also cover new areas such as behavioral economics, political economy, and cultural economics. We always embrace diversity, both from the perspective of economic problems and the representation of the participants.
